Kahr Buys Auto-Ordnance, Maker of the Famous "Tommy Gun"

Kahr Arms Closes Deal with Numrich Arms on Sale of Auto-Ordnance and Thompson Lines.

Kahr Arms, makers of the K9, MK9 and K40 ultra-compact line of 9mm and .40 S&W handguns based in Blauvelt, NY has purchased the Auto-Ordnance and Thompson lines from Numrich Arms Corporation for an undisclosed sum. Included in the sale are the Auto-Ordnance line of Government model .45 caliber pistols and the Thompson, known commonly as the "Tommy Gun."

This acquisition fortifies Kahr's position as a credible firearms manufacturer with a long term commitment to the industry. The sale allows Numrich Arms to concentrate on and to develop their gun parts business, known as Gun Parts Corporation.

Effective immediately distributor sales of the Auto-Ordnance pistols and Thompson semi-auto long guns will be handled by Frank Harris out of Kahr's corporate offices in Blauvelt, NY. Auto-Ordnance and Thompson product shipments, warranty work, parts and service support will be provided by Kahr's customer service team out of Kahr's primary manufacturing facility in Worcester, MA.
